Trans Tasman Racing dominated all sessions in the newly formed Australian iRacing League at Lime Rock Park. Madison Down managed top all 3 sessions (practice, Qualifying and Race) with Blair Payton closely behind. Newly signed Troy Cox also impressed late in practice posting a 54.466.
In Qualifying Trans Tasman Racing once again was strong in the VisionRacer FG Falcon’s with all three drivers posting fantastic times. Madison topped the time sheets to grab pole position with a 53.181, Blair managed to snatch second from Corey with 53.925. Troy managed to place 5th with a fantastic time of a 54.282.
Race time for Round 1 of the series… It was a TT-R front row. The red changed to green and Blair straight away covered the inside line from Corey and managed to hold onto second into turn 1. It was a dream start for TT-R with Madison leading from Blair.
Madison managed to pull away from the field and build a handy lead while Blair and Corey battled on. After being nose to tail for quite some time the mistakes began to creep in with both drivers cutting the chicane and having to slow up to avoid a penalty.
Pit stops came mid race, Blair’s tyres were screwed so he pitted on Lap 30/31. Madison’s held on a little bit better and pitted lap 35.
At the end of the first round, Madison crossed the line first to win by over a lap, from Corey in 2nd and Blair in 3rd. Troy finished 8th for the team on debut.
“It was a great start for the team in a new league, it’s always great to start a season off with a win so hopefully it’s a good omen for the rest of the season. Although it will be a tough season, there are some class drivers in the field such as Corey, Russ and Blair that will definetely be very strong.”

The Australian iRacing League will be starting soon, featuring both V8 and NASCAR series held on alternating Saturday’s.
TT-R will be fielding a number of cars and we encourage all iracers to go check out the site and join up if you’re interested.
Cheers

Today it was announced that the upcoming Trans Tasman Racing would be in a
technical alliance/affliates with the already established and successful
Cozaucy Race Engineering.
Trans Tasman Racing team manager, Mad94d said “It’s great to have Cozaucy
onboard with the team, I believe both teams can learn from each other even
though sometimes we don’t actually race in the same leagues and mods. The
knowledge from CRE should be great with all their success at Adrenalin Factor
and now Austeam Racing. The deal should benefit both teams.
Cozaucy Race Engineering team Co-owner, Corey said “To have TT-R as an affliate team will
bring rewards to both team’s.
TT-R have some of the best drivers in the country in Gran Turismo who have converted that pace onto RFactor
and with Simon and Myslef allready established drivers in RFactor it will give both teams what we need
to get to the top of Austrlian Sim Racing.
This new affiliate deal will no doubt have other teams in both respective leagues
starting to worry.
You can find TT-R’s site at www.transtasmanracing.com and CRE’s site at
www.cozaucy.webs.com. Both teams have the affiliate logo on each other’s site.

TT-R’s Animera managed to pick up a fantastic result in the most recent Weekly Race Series at GTPlanet.net. Animera managed a fantastic 4th place only 0.3 behind Australian GT Superstar Daniel Holland (GTP_DHolland). The event was held at Eiger Nordwand in the Audi TT Coupe 3.2 ’07. Racing at Eiger is always tough and to pick up 4th place is a brilliant effort.
Australian TT-R driver, zed300, picked up 22nd at the Eiger circuit. It’s always a tough track to get right and with Zed involved in rFactor over the previous week, the physics changes wouldn’t have helped on such a tough track.
Great to see TT-R driver still going so well over at GTPlanet.
As always, check the forum for updates on race meetings and results.

Trans Tasman Racing finalised it’s Bathurst enduro pairings tonight for the upcoming 125 lap Hotswap event held at Adrenalin Factor each season. Mad94d announced earlier tonight that car #66 would be driven by exisiting TT-R driver, PAPAOSA. He will be joined by Ecoline Racing driver Redger after Cozmo leaving the team earlier in the season.
The 2nd Trans Tasman Racing Commodore (Car #77) will be driven by Mad94d and supersonic88. After winning the past 4 rounds convincingly, TT-R is in good shape for the Bathurst round. We spoke to Mad94d earlier about TT-R’s chances. “Well this is our first time in the hotswap event. It’s always hard to win races, but to do it here will be so much harder. We have so many variables and things that can go wrong. But Blair, Craig and myself have proven throughout the season that we have the pace to do well at Bathurst, so we’ll see what happens.”
Blair was confident that the team can do well this Sunday, “We’ve both got the speed in the #77 car and the hotswaps have gone smoothly so far. So we can only hope that we can bring it across the line first on sunday.”
The #66 car will also be strong on Sunday with PAPAOSA who keeps getting faster and faster week in, week out. Redger who has put his hand up to join the team for a one off race will also be strong. Redger has an immense out of Enduro experience after racing in it previously for many seasons. Also, Redger is a part of the V8 Supercars Fan Group Motorsport team, which of course are the defending champions at Bathurst. So Redger has been in a front running team who know how to win the race for quite some time now.
TT-R is looking strong for sunday. We hope to make our sponsors proud this sunday and get the Gran Turismo/Playstation Commodores across the line first.
Madison continued his hot streak of form, winning the Adrenalin Factor Phillip Island Enduro on Sunday.
Starting from pole, he was only challenged early on in the race by Nympho driver Sandman and TT-R team mate Blair. As the race progressed and pit stops took place at regular intervals, he was able to get into the lead and stay there with excellent pace and control on both new and used tyres. Madison’s win now elevates him up to 7th in the championship and with another double points round coming up, the top 5 is beckoning.
Craig had a tough round at PI, encountering windscreen and lag issues, causing him to start from pit lane and then battle for the first half of the race. The second half was more promising however and he was able to make it home in 14th place.
The next round of the championship takes place at the historic Bathurst circuit for the 125 lap enduro race, including driver hot-swapping. Both Mad and Craig, sharing the #66 commodore, are looking forward to the race and hoping to continue the recent success of TT-R. We are still looking for a second driver for the #77 car to partner myself, so if you’re interested, contact us on the forum.
Madison made it 2 out of 2 at Round 9 of the Adrenalin V8 Supercar League last night.
Starting from pole in both races he was able to set a great pace and bring the TT-R commodore home in 1st, the third round in a row that a TT-R car has won both races.
I qualified 5th and managed to score a podium in the first race, coming 2nd and a nice form finish across the line with Mad. Race 2 was much more challenging, due to lack of grip and I ultimately ended up 4th. Still, an excellent result all round for the team.
Craig could not make this round due to PC issues but he’ll be back and ready to go at the Phillip Island enduro next week!
Check out the forum for detailed race reports.
Round 8 of the Adrenalin Factor series proved to be a successful one for TT-R.
Expecting just the two drivers to race (supersonic88 and PAPAOSA), they were joined at the last minute by young gun Mad94d. Together they combined for another strong TT-R perfomance.
Qualifying:
Mad: DNQ
Blair: 2nd
Craig: 4th
Race 1:
Blair: 1st
Mad: 3rd
Craig: 13th
Race 2:
Blair: 1st
Mad: 2nd
Craig: 13th
