Although Weekly Race Series 1 was an almighty success on the new gaming sim Gran Turismo 5, it was a tough round for TT-R. Paulie was best from the team with a great lap of 1’04.669 just 4 tenths behind round winner Josh Muggo. By any standard it’s a fantastic effort but due to the amazing turn out this week and the ridiculously close lap times, Paul ended up down in 11th. Today marked the first day drivers could begin testing the tunes supplied by the various tuners, one of which has been entered by Lion’s Den Performance, the tuning garage of choice of Trans Tasman Racing. Trans Tasman Racing’s, ZED (Jeff) took his first ever podium finish tonight at Adelaide International Raceway! Jeff managed to put the Holden Torana 4th on the grid! Race start, the Sony/TT-R Torana ran a consistent race to place 3rd in the 60 minute enduro at the Adelaide Motorsport Complex. Trans Tasman Racing has dominated the GTPlanet qualifier with 4 TT-R drivers in the top Division, Division 1 Gold, with 3 more drivers placing in the top Division just behind. AUSnicko9 topped the time sheets with a handicap of 0.902, fastest of all the registered GTPlanet drivers on Gran Turismo 5.
