TT-R Go 1-2 at Spa

Trans Tasman Racing took their first 1-2 of the season at Round 04 of the AVR Sports Car Challenge at Spa-Francorchamps. Madison Down went back to back, winning the race over Blair Payton in second place and TTL’s Reg Burke in third. Michael Dalbec broke James Stevenson’s hold on the Corvette, taking his first win in the series while Phillip Wallis again continued his great form, taking out the Mustang Class. Ian Cruises to a Win!

Trans Tasman Racing’s Animera (Ian) cruised to a win in the “Out For a Sunday Drive” Weekly Race series event. Ian took the win in style outclassing the dominant Josh Muggo. The event may have been named a Sunday Drive, but we are assured by Ian’s video that is certainly was not that simple. The event was held at the Cape Ring South Circuit with the Spoon Sports CR-Z the car of choice. In theory, the combo sounds simple, but it’s not that easy. TT-R Take Victory at Mosport

Trans Tasman Racing and Madison Down took victory at Round 03 of the AVR Sports Car Challenge last night. A race long battle between Madison and Reg Burke ended after 46 tough laps with the TT-R driver winning by 1.3 seconds. Andrew Le rounded out the top 3, backing up his podium at Sebring with another one here. In Qualifying, Madison took a comfortable pole position in the Riley class, four tenths clear of Ian Travis in second place with Andrew Le third. Down Downs The Giz

The real-world V8 aces again had to contend with the sim racing world’s best in Race Two of Monday night’s iRacing Supercar series at Mid-Ohio. Australian V8 Supercar Series standout Shane Van Gisbergen may have taken pole again with a lap of 1: 23.553, but sim racer Madison Down was breathing down his neck at 1:23.885 with Shay Griffith next and young NZ V8 star Scott McLaughlin squeezing in a qualifying session to slot himself on grid four.  Next came George Fullerton, Wayne Harris, Vern Norrgard, Richard Lock, Stuart Wood and Matthew Nethercote.
