Down Wins Battle in the Pacific!

Okayama International in Japan was the host venue for Round Eight of the iRacing V8 Supercar Series. Things have been getting a little keen in this immensely popular Aussie series, with no shortage of biff at Zandvoort the previous week. Okayama was formerly named Aida, and hosted the “Pacific Grand Prix” in the early 1990′s. The ’94 event was noteworthy for being the penultimate Grand Prix for the late Ayrton Senna, before his tragic death at Imola. Paulie Found Wanting

The latest round of GT League Oz visited the US of A at Laguna Seca, of revered corkscrew fame. The championship battle was well alive heading in to this round, with Paulie just nipping at the heals of Beau. Through Free Practice and Qualifying Beau was the form man, hitting 1’38.0s in both sessions landing on the front row of what is a very staggered grid, Paulie qualified 2nd with a 1’38.3 and Koastr rounded out the top 3. At mid season Madison Down has missed a couple of races and now sits 4th in the iRacing V8 Supercars Online Series, can he continue his previous race pace to get back into championship contention? Today he has continued his race domination returning to Spa-Francorchamps to re-do last season’s disaster by taking a win. From what is normally tight numbers across the qualifying field, the 7km long Belgian circuit left a gap of almost two seconds across the top 5. Trans Tasman Racing debuted 2 Porsches at Mount Panorama earlier today in the lead up to the Online Racing Australia Hyperstimulator 6 hour enduro. The already tested Porsche 996 driven by PAPAOSA and ZED_68 was once again seen on track today at the Mount, but Madison and Corey were also seen at the venue but they weren’t just spectating!
