Madison Down made it two from two, taking out Round 2 of the DUG Sports Car Challenge at Watkins Glen on Thursday night. Starting from 3rd position, Madison sat behind the TTL duo of Ian Travis and Vail Riches, as well as XSG’s Terry Nightingale for the first half of the race. Madison Down won the first round of the DUG Sports Car Challenge, held at Laguna Seca on Thursday Night. Starting from 3rd position, the TT-R driver moved quickly up to 2nd, sitting behind Ian Travis for the majority of the race. Disaster struck Travis however, when his car ran out of fuel, allowing Down to seize the lead and go on and claim victory. Completing a 1-2 for Trans Tasman Racing, Blair Payton finished 2nd overall while Ian came home third, ruing the fuel mistake which cost him the victory.
