Madison Down won his 4th race of the season at Round 6 of the DUG Sports Car Challenge, held at Spa-Francorchamps on Thursday Night. Starting from 3rd on the grid Madison held this position for much of the race, sitting behind the TTL duo of Vail Riches and Ian Travis, both of whom went for a low down-force setup. Having run medium down force, Down was able to grab the lead of the race on lap 28 when Ian pitted and from there through both clean, fast driving and pit strategy, managed to hold onto it for the remainder of [ Read More ]

The popular Japanese racetrack Suzuka Circuit, very familiar to simulation racing played host to the midpoint of 2011 Season 3 for the iRacing V8 Supercars series. Everyone suspected a sub 2 minutes and 4 second lap was possible but Madison Down favouring the fast flowing style of the Grand Prix track was the only one to achieve it taking pole position with a 2:03.914, McLeod right behind on 2:04.057. Race start and Down got off the line perfectly taking the field into turn one, McLeod holding the inside for second with Broekman on the outside. U’Ren didn’t get the greatest [ Read More ]

Running on a version of the famous Silverstone Circuit that is no longer in existence since the recent upgrades, the International layout allowed the V8 Supercars to stretch their legs just a little more than the previous short track National layout. Although car setup wasn’t much different between the two versions with two very slow right hander’s and a few high speed corners requiring a gamble on setting a car to turn in well or exit well. Rens Broekman again set the pole with 1:20.145 although sharing the front row with Madison Down, returning to form and setting the exact [ Read More ]

Madison Down continued his winning streak, making it 3 from 3 at Round 3 of the DUG Sports Car Challenge, held at Okayama on Thursday Night. Starting from 2nd position, it was perhaps TTL’s best chance yet at a victory when Madison put it in the wall early on but even when things go wrong for the TT-R driver, they seem to work out, with the early pitstop allowing Down to crucially get in free air. With the TTL drivers struggling through traffic and also running their 4 cars together, this left Madison to quickly close down the gap and [ Read More ]
